Game Schedule
Friday
Shadowdark: Shadowdark is a Dark Fantasy game emphasizing fast game play, with high stakes. It is rules light, focusing on creative game play. Players enter dungeons to find loot and cleanse them of monsters. As a GM, I focus on creating a supportive environment that lets players stretch their own storytelling skills.

Shadowdark, Grizzembok's Challenge (18+): The ancient and mighty wizard, Grizzembok the Magnificent, passed away just 10 days ago, filling his tomb with fantastic treasures and unknown dangers. On his death bed, he sent out invitations to all major cities of the world, welcoming adventurers of all skill levels to brave the dangers he left behind for the chance to win his fabulous collection of wealth and power. A one-shot delve through a Fun House dungeon filled with traps, challenges, and fantastical loot! Written for the Shadowdark RPG system.

Cairn 2e, The Envoy Must Die!: You've been hired to protect the duke's envoy during her trip to a snowy mining town. But the town has more secrets than you realized.

Inheritors* (18+): Inheritors is a tabletop game of mechanical post-human mayhem, that's equal parts Mad Max and Nier Automata. The game uses a d10 pool system paired with a simple card-based car-grid to simulate bombastic combat, where any hit taken could be your last. The game's DNA is a blender of OSR Blogosphere sensibilities, tactical nuance and story game goodness.

Heretic: Heretic is a 28mm skirmish of dangerous ideas! Instead of violence, the goal is to stealthily hang posters up around the city while avoiding the authorities and other gangs.

His Majesty The Worm: His Majesty the Worm is a new-school game with old-school sensibilities: the classic megadungeon experience given fresh life through a focus on the mundanities and small moments of daily life inside the dungeon. Characters adventure in the Underworld, rest in role-playing driven camping scenes, and plot long-term schemes in the City at the center of the Wide World. The relationships between companions, called Bonds, powers the rest and recovery mechanic of the game. Tarot cards are used as a randomizing element. Combat encounters are handled with an action-packed subsystem that ensures that all players have interesting choices every minute of combat: no downtime!

Old School Essentials, Bugbear Hunt!: The city has been terrorized by Bugbear raiders for weeks. No one seems to know where they come from, or where they go! Can your brave party solve the mystery and end their depredations once and for all?

Magic The Gathering: Old School '93-'94 Tournament: Old School Magic 93-94 is a type of “throwback” format that focuses on cards that were printed in 1993 and 1994 (the first 2 years of Magic). This is meant to harken back to a simpler time in Magic’s history, where many rare and nostalgic cards are played by those seeking to recapture the excitement and feel of Magic’s early periods. This is an "unofficial" format that uses the rules of MTG from the early days such as Banding and Mana Burn. Please read the tournament rules here if you're interested.

Mausritter: Take up the sword and don the whiskers of a brave mouse adventurer in Mausritter, the rules-light fantasy adventure roleplaying game. It’s a huge and dangerous world out there, and it does not look kindly on a small mouse. But if you are very brave and very clever and just a bit lucky, you might be able to survive. And if you survive long enough, you might even become a hero amongst mice.

Steel, Silk, Shadow, Scroll, and Sorcery (5S) (18+): The imperial capitol of Bel-Morok is rotting from the inside. Endless provincial wars have sapped its treasuries, and the taxies levied to refill them have driven its people to starvation. Riots over food and rend are common and amidst the unrest the beginnings of terrifying new ideologies are struggling to be born. Each of which knows that to control the future of this once great empire and whatever comes next that you must seize the palace, and the princess within. All of your fortunes have been shattered in the past few months. Each of you follow a different banner or creed. Regardless of your philosophical disagreements, you all recognize that the Monarchists and their brutal enforcers cannot be allowed to win. 5S is sociologically-minded sword and sorcery fantasy, where bold protagonists tightly bound to the world around them act to make their ideals a reality, or else sell them off for the sake of personal advancement.

Traveller (1977) (18+): Traveller, Science-Fiction Adventure in the Far Future, was first published in 1977 by Game Designers' Workshop. In Traveller, players take on the role of spacefarers trying to make their way in a galaxy filled with interstellar empires, feuding nobles, scheming corporations, dastardly raiders, and clandestine psions. The game has gone through several iterations since first publication, but the core mechanics are still in use today, and its character creation process remains groundbreaking, shaping lifepath character creation in modern games.

Dragonbane, The Sinking Tower: Many years ago, the great wizard Kamandur constructed Magdala’s Tower (in memorial for his departed sister) along a rocky coast to lure sailor's to their death to avenge HER death! Ever since, the tower has risen from the bottom of the sea every twenty years, on the day of Magdala’s death, but only for a few hours before disappearing again. Many adventurers have tried to reach the top of the tower to steal the priceless emerald beacon at the top, but none have succeeded. Now the tower has risen from the sea once more and its ghostly green light once again shines over the water. Will you succeed where others have failed?Dragonbane is a classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. We call this playstyle “mirth and mayhem roleplaying” – great for long campaigns, but also perfect for a one-shot.

Troika!: Shameless pilfering from Douglas Adams collides with Terry Pratchett-esque tonal "inspiration" in a science fantasy roleplaying extravaganza.

Terra*: Survive and Forage in a fantastically brutal primordial world. Inspired by Dino-Synth, Yor: Hunter From The Future, and the creators Sleep Deprivation; you to can see the Earth though the eyes of a historically inaccurate nightmare.

Hell Night (18+): A doom biker RPG rule-artbook inspired by badass metal covers and the spirit of a strange decade. Ride beyond and behold! Play as demons sent forth from hell- to hunt other demons! All on blood fueled daemonic motorcycles.
Saturday Morning

ALT NYC 88 (18+): It is 1988 in New York City. The players are members of one of the many gangs that operate in the subway, the sewers, and sometimes deeper down in the underworld. Forays up to street level are dangerous and undertaken in disguise or under the cover of night. The players' gang struggles for territory and control against other gangs, ninja clans, supervillains, lizard people, and worse. On ground level, organised crime and corrupt cops rule with an iron fist... One part 'The Warriors', one part TMNT comics, one part 'Escape from New York'... did we mention that Rutger Hauer is an eternal being that has occupied his current form since 1966 but is effectively over 2000 years old?!"

Questlandia (18+): In Questlandia, players create a bizarre, fantastical kingdom at a turning point in its history. Each person becomes a character in this shared world, exploring their hopes, dreams, and flaws as they navigate a changing landscape.
